How God Speaks!

God speaks.  This simple, basic reality has extraordinary, almost unfathomable implications for the fabric of all that exists, for all time, for all of us. God did not have to speak.  God chose to speak—the God who made everything has spoken to us.  Nothing can ever be the same!

God has revealed Himself to us through His Word.  The Holy Spirit speaks to us through His Word.  Scripture is our supreme and sufficient authority for life.  God speaks to us through prayer. He applies what He has said to our life circumstances. Then He confirms what He has said through the ministry of His church.

When God speaks, He simultaneously invites us to join Him on His agenda.  He does not merely want us to know more about Him.  He wants us to become intimately acquainted with Him, His purposes, and His ways.  With every encounter, He facilitates our knowledge and experience of Him.  Our obedience to Him flows from grace-enabled transformation; it propels us onto mission with Him.
